new plan...God's plan.
well, i have been doing less blogging
but not in the way i first planned.
and in general i am spending less
time on the computer...especially
when people are around.
so the new plan is...
1. more of a constant mindful relating with God being my first priority.
2. relating with people being my next priority by getting my direction from God as to what relationship should look like at any given moment.
balance from the Holy Spirit.
outdoor school & garden
i spent wednesday through friday
with three classes of 5th graders
at a camp with their teachers and
many other parents.
it was a fast paced, full scheduled,
learning marathon in which we all
came home exhausted and happy to
return to the comfort of home.
and i think it will prove to be a very
memorable time...and not because
of the lessons but because of the
interaction with others and with
nature.
also...the this morning "the garden"
was planted by some friends that
we have met through my husband.
we finished up at noon and ran
for shade. it was a hot one. seems
like it had changed from winter to
summer in the wink of an eye.
though i am happy to see that the
forecast is predicting a bit of cool down
in the next few days.
i have plenty of watering to do.
dear blog friends,
.
tomorrow i am leaving on a two night three day trip
with a bunch of school kids, teachers,
and some parents.
i was thinking that the trip will serve in starting a
"much needed" break from the computer.
i know that i have been spending more time
on the computer than i should.
too much of a good thing can be bad,
and this has been the case with me...
and i see it happening with my child as well.
the plan...
first, there will be less reading of other blogs...
i will be keeping it to one or two blogs a day.
and i will have to do less communicating
on photo-blog by posting and commenting
once a week, instead of daily.
this will not be easy for me,
for i am totally addicted.
keep your faith in Jesus and share it,
pray and read the word of God.
God's Love and blessings to you all.

Bird flu has caused 240 deaths globally since 1993.
Bee-keepers in the South East want more money to be spent on research into the threats facing honey bees.
And if the reported 66 twisters that funneled their way through the country's heartland this weekend are any indication, 2008 could be one of the busiest and deadliest years in history. The record for tornado-related deaths in a year came in 1998, when 130 people were killed.

Local authorities say that they urgently need at least 5,250 foster carers to come forward this year to look after children who cannot live with their own parents because of abuse or neglect. The shortage is most acute in Manchester and the North West of England, where 760 carers are needed by the end of the year.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

i am becoming my true self
in God through Jesus,
the Holy Spirit
and the Love of God.
i am born again in Spirit and in truth,
seeing more of what was meant to be
and what is yet to come
by living in the moment in faith.

the garden
ted was talking about community gardens
on his post, "shrinking" and
this morning upon waking....i believe God said...go and
talk to glen about making a community garden in your yard.
glen is our neighgor acoss the road in his 80's.
so i actually jumped out of bed...something i have not
done in a long time, had some breakfast, took my
pill, got dressed and headed over there. he was still
in his sweatpants and sweatshirt, his hair was not yet
combed and he was warming himself in front of his
wood stove that is in his kitchen...that is how i knew he
was up...there was some smoke coming out of the
wood stove pipe on the roof. i talked to him about it and
it so happens that his nephew, that moved into glen's
brothers house up the hill last year did a bit of community
gardening last year. we planned to talk to him later
in the day and i went back home.
we had a teacher conference to go to in the late morning
and then some shopping to take care of. in a little bit
the neighbor, glen, came over and was ready to go
and talk with his nephew, michael. and as we were
just ready to go to the school. we made it for later in
the day. when we returned from the conference and
shopping...which went well...i called glen, and he called
michael and in two shakes he was over and telling us
to hop into his car. so my husband and i went to meet
a young neighbor that we had not met yet. and we
had never been to the house. we had a good talk and
got some information from him then glen took us home.
as i was saying goodbye he said..."maybe i better get a
first till in so the grass can begin to die and the soil can
dry out a bit, then in a week or two maybe we can get
another tilling in". and off he went to get the tractor.
and as you can see by the picture...the first tilling is done.
that glen does not mess around.
now for the people that will be the gardeners.
till the garden and people will come...right?
words words words words
Do
not
let
any
unwholesome talk
come out
of
your
mouths,
but
only
what is helpful
for building
others
up
according to their needs,
that it may
benefit
those
who
listen.
